Dorothy by bflynn22 Dorothy by bflynn22
This is a midsized jumper ship created in 2229. Its unique oval shaped warp drive was designed so it could run on a smaller power supply while attaining low warp speeds. Captain Holm and her crew of 24 explore the galaxy searching for new habitable planets and occasionally transport special cargo/crew.
Let me know what you guys think!

Magnificent design (I'm en engineer with thirty years experience in starship design so should know) - she is a departure from classical vessel design, but at the same time has lines suggestive of aeroform and paralight abilities. I feel that a technical description od Dorothy would make the image more interest - but I cannot fault the presentation (even if I wanted too) as she is one very sexy lady.

This is definitely a unique design. It almost looks like the "plane" portion can detach and visit planets while the warp engine (broom?) stays in orbit.

Very interesting looking vessel, I like the somewhat cobbled together look of the whole ship with the older looking drive section mated to the newer looking top section, and I like the color scheme as well. Pure genius with the ships name and the Kansas reference. I imagine in the distant future when space travel is commonplace that people will still pay a premium to go to the stars and entrepreneurs will piece together their own ships from whatever is available to get in on the space travel market. If the things people do to cars and trucks etc today is any indication then who knows whats possible tomorrow. Totally Badass looking and I like it, nice work.:D:D

I'm curious about the huge cylindrical driver and what's inside. Overall this craft is very interesting since it's like mounting a fuselage in a massive engine that could go like ZRRRoooooommmmm. Well drawn too. :icongreatjobplz:

the warp drive information is confidential, but it is rumored to have over 600 brooms lining the inside of the warp drive walls with bio connectors all leading to the inner thighs of a beautifully preserved young girl in a blue dress! Its pure rumor/fantasy, most likely constructed from the technicians...or is it?!

and thanks!

Wow that's a beaut! Great job with the Dorthy's Design ^^
Since it carries special cargo does it have any defense mechanisms from space pirates? (if there are any that is xD)

Cool! Can the upper Part "lift off" from the lower part? and is the lower part engine only?

Not in this model, although would be correct in assuming that the ship and the engine were two separate parts. The warp drive was attached and integrated onto a newer ship(top half) that was noted for its incredible energy output thus making if possible use this warp engine. But I like the idea.. right now the lander ship on the side, affectionately called Toto, is wedged right in between the warp engine work area and the top ships mess deck. So currently the ship can seal itself off from the warp engine(Broom), but not completely separate it self. perhaps next version!

Putting something with a recognisable size in might be a good idea - at the moment, it's hard to tell if it's the size of a coach or a cruise liner.

Done and done, good call on that. Originally I had people in the foreground and background, but I took them all out because they were too distracting. But after what you said, the few people in the background are back in! Thanks for the input!

Not a problem, it was just a little niggle

Looks great now; the design reminds me of art deco
