Hmmm Is it a gunship (2-3 people) with a cockpit in the front and the pod is a sensor package, or is it a cruiser with the pod being the bridge (in which case the wings should be removed), OR was it meant to be ambivalent?
uhhh, well it certainly can be. like any computer program, there are alway little quarks and such that dont let you do this, unless something is selected/unselected... or you have to be in the right mode... or u have to check you tolerances on certain things... then maya flips out and either crashes or just sits there.
but it is relatively intuitive and not hard to start. if you decide to embark on the odyssey that autodesk has created, you will likely begin modeling simple stuff at first. then you learn about the rigging, texturing, lighting. move onto more complex objects.. and you will realize how to break down things and be more efficient.<<this is what im working on.. then move to zbrush to touch things up...
these will take getting used to. find a routine. and run with it.
then you get to animating which is a whole new world.
then comes rendering!.. compositing..sound!.. and to infinity and beyond.

either way it looks cool
Is Maya hard to use?
